My BMB is stessing me out...

My BMB is stressing me out...  (sorry kind of long)

I haven't been on there very much because I don't have too much to say, but I ventured over today and it's overwhelming! For example, a lot of the STMs are going on about how you cannot do XYZ or you will be RUINING your chances of BFing. As somone who had to supplement for a few days (my milk didn't come in until day 6), I wish there wasn't so much pressure around nursing for new moms to do it all PERFECTLY OR ELSE!!!

Then (sad story warning)...  someone posted an article about how an infant passed away after being left to sleep in an unbuckled carseat (indoors) because they got tangled in the straps. So now everyone is saying they will never let their LO sleep in the car seat, etc. I had to point out the the main thing to remember is not to leave an infant sleeping where there is a strangulation hazard. A properly buckled car seat - during a long road trip for example - is perfectly safe.

I guess I feel like you guys just "know" me already and know where I'm coming from. You know how much trouble I had with sleep issues and all the things I tried to get LO to sleep anywhere but in my arms. So when I read other STMs saying that someone should totally be able to shower and spend time with DH (and want to have $ex earlier than 6 weeks!) and even go back to working at home a few hours a day when LO is a newborn makes me break into a sweat because SERIOUSLY NO! Don't count on it! You never know!

Hmmm, I think being around a bunch of other pregnant ladies (a majority of whom are FTMs) is just a bit too many hormones for me right now!! :)

    Ugh I hate that! It's the fact that the child wasn't sitting properly. It had nothing to do with the seat itself. J got some of the best sleep in his for sure.

    That's what scares me! DS was perfect! Seriously. Sttn around 3 months, BF until 15 months, never took a paci or blankie and because of BFing he wasn't addicted to bottles, transitioned to bed like a champ, and now is PT except for number 2. I'm terrifie

    Ugh, frustrating for sure!  I really then the Dec10 board is/was special, even back when we were all pre-FTMs!  A close friend who is due in August recently GBCB'd b/c she just couldn't take it all anymore.

    Dec 10 has always been a bit more low key, I felt! Oct was too much for me to handle too, and I haven't been on in months.

    I don't know how all the STM's on this board dealt with all the crazy FTM's back in 2010! I never was on my new BMB when I was pregnant. I lurk/post very occasionally on it now that DS2 is here. But it's pretty easy to skim and just get some good remin

    Yeah my 2nd bmb is full of crazy. Definitely glad I'm part of dec 10!!

    Yea, the Aug 2012 board is pretty cool but not as cool as our board lol.  I only lurked when I was pregnant but now I post often.  Sometimes I skip the crazy FTM questions, sometimes I reply cause I was once in their FTM positions at one point.

    ugh how annoying. I don't mind the STMs on my board. There are actually a ton of us...I kind of feel like it might even be the majority. But I also still like you guys better overall.
