Mild Morning FREAK out!

DH has been extremely helpful with the baby. He takes her on his lunch break so I can shower, he takes her when he gets home from work so I can make dinner/have a baby break. He usually puts her to bed at night, and even takes the midnight shift for feeding if she wakes then.

Last night, he slept from 10:30 until 6 am. Pretty good amount of sleep with a newborn in the room. That was fine, I got up with her at 4 and she went back to bed within an hour.

My freak out began when his alarm went off and it was SO loud! AND he lets it buzz and buzz. Well, up wakes the baby. After I just put her down an hour ago. UGH! I tried to just sooth her and see if she would go back to sleep, but that wasn't happening. I had to go through the whole feed, sooth, sleep routine again.

I wasn't impressed. This happens far too often.

There must be a way to make mornings a little less angry for me.

I needed a little vent. Sorry.

  • Does it wake you before it wakes him? MH is also this way and I either shut off the alarm and wake him or I shove him so he wakes up and turns it off.

Sorry, I know it's so frustrating!

  • This happened to us a few times too, and I was pretty annoyed. It was part of the reason we decided to move DD to her crib in her own room around 5 weeks old- it got really frustrating trying to be so quiet and worrying about every single noise we made in

  • If it helps your DH sounds really wonderful! I take all the night shifts on my own because DH works 12 hour days and commutes 2 hours so I am also on my own all day. Plus when DH does finally get home DD is cluster feeding so he can't even take her for ve

  • We must live in the same house!  Only we have a  two year old too.  So, around 4 our toddler comes in our room and jumps around like the sun is up.  DH gets up and puts him down on his mat in our room.  He sings and shouts and

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  • I used to (ha! Funny to think of this now) hit the snooze button 3-5 times before waking up and it drove DH mad. So I started setting my alarm on my phone. Once it went off the first time, I would stuff it under my pillow so it only woke me up as I could
