    Hi and welcome! How far along are you?

    I think The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy is a good one to start with because it has a nice friendly tone. I didn't care for What to Expect When You're Expecting because it spent an awful lot of time talki

    Congrats on the pregnancy and welcome to the board.  Personally, I liked What to Expect When You're Expecting.  I think the best idea would be to flip through the books at a bookstore and see what format works for you.  GL!

    I liked the Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy.  

    Me: 38, PCOS/ DH: 37

    DD born 12.21.09, conceived w/ injects and IUI



    TTC#2 since Nov 2011

    BFP 2.6.12 m/c 6w5d | BFP 5.25.12 c/p

    -Back to the RE-

    3 medicated IUIs, all BFN

    -Taking a break from treatment-

    BFP 11.20.12 ~ EDD 7.28.13

    My favorite books were the Mayo Clinic one (for factual, scientific information) and the Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy (for commiseration and laughs on what it's REALLY like to be pregnant).  I didn't care as much for What to Expect, but a lot o

    I also liked the Mayo Clinic guide and I got a book called The Pregnancy Bible from a friend that I liked.

    I also have the Mayo clinic guide.  My friend gave me a copy of What to Expect but honestly, I may have opened it once or twice.

    I haven't opened any of mine yet, but I did want to suggest going to a local thrift store/Goodwill.  I picked up all the "standard" baby books for $1.50 each.  They had a ton!!
