  I had it for 8 months and then replaced it with ParaGard.  After it was placed I lightly bled for about 3 months and then my cycle got lighter each month.  I was fine at first, but around 6-7 months in I gained 10lbs in one month, my belly bloat

  Its weird, you hear horrible and great Mirena experiences.  I had no bleeding and now only have period for like 2 hours every few months.  I did gain weight but not sure if i can really say it's Mirena but overall very happy with it

  I got mine in June of 2011 and had cramping and spotting for the first month.  Since then I've only gotten my period once.  I do get a little crampy once a month, though.  In all, it does the job with little to no pain or problems.

  I got my Mirena at my 6wk post-birth check up.  I had no bleeding, no discomfort, nothing.

  I had it for 18 months and had no complaints.  No periods, not spotting, no weight gain, no problems with sex.  I had it removed in late O

  I had it inserted 8 weeks PP. I have yet to get a period or even spotting. I'm still BFing though. No other side effects, and I was nervous about the hormones (bcp make me crazy) but nothing like that with mirena.

  I bled for a year (maybe partially due to BF though?) 

  I cramp about 25 days out of the month.

  I get a 2 or 3 day period every 28 days.

  I have crazy amounts of CM daily. It's really heavy for 2 weeks before my period.

  Please Please do your research!  My SIL just had one surgically removed last week.  It had migrated from where it should be and was causing her extreme pain, she had hers in for 4 years prior to this and the first year was tough.  Not sure
