Hey ladies... Smit and Nita I saw your post and I wanted to update everyone on what's going on. Thomas is still on the ventilator but he has been breathing on his own since Wednesday night. If he continues to do well, the doctor will extubate (take him off the vent) tomorrow morning. He's still got RSV and pneumonia but he's on antibiotics and they think he should be better from those soon enough. He is off most of the heavy sedatives he was on which is great so he's beginning to "wake up".
I haven't held him since Sunday so I am so excited that he'll hopefully be getting off the vent and be awake and able to be held finally! I'll update again tomorrow and let y'all know what happens!
