Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Sleep

My lo is three months.  His schedule is basically 5 oz every three hours. His evening routine is a bath, bottle at about 6:30 then bed at about 7. I wake him at about 11 for a dream feed. He then sleeps until between 3-5 and just cries, or complains. I give him a pacifier or rock him (never taking him out of the cradle). This can happen between 1-3 times in the evening. He then wakes up happy at about 7. Any advice to eliminate these waking? This is my second child and my daughter would take the dream feed and only wake up if she broke out of her swaddle or if she had wet through her diaper... Thx

  • Do you think the dream feed may be interrupting his sleep? If it were me, I would just let him wake on his own when he's hungry. If he's going to wake up in the middle of the night anyway, why bother feeding him at 11 and putting more work on yourself? I

  • Hmm, I never feeds him when he wakes...until 7...this is interesting.

    I agree - start skipping the dreamfeeding. Shouldn't hurt since you are already getting up in the middle of the night.
