Hey everyone, im actually a march 2013 mom but have a question for you all. There is a birthday party on my husbands side for a one year old next weekend. What are some good gift ideas or things your little ones like? I don't know what kinds of things he has already so I am stumped. As to what to buy him. Thanks for the ideas. Happy birthday month to all your little ones!!

    I think kids can have too many toys, but never too many books. Clothes are good, maybe 18m to 2T so s/he can grow into them (include a gift receipt if you can). If you want to get something a little extra special, maybe a kiddie pool. I know if DS doesn't

    we always love clothes.

    we found the "old school" telephone at toyrus.  you know the one that has the eyes and the rotary dial.  WE also found the "old school" brown dog with the flappy ears.

    I agree with books. At this point I have way too much clutter in the house with so many toys everywhere so if someone wants to get her something, I always tell them books. I want her to have a big library. :)

    Everyone always wants to buy DS toys but my favorite gifts he gets are clothes and books. We have an obscene amount of toys. I'm actually thinking about getting a little storage unit. You could also do a gift certificate to a zoo, aquarium, mommy and

    My LO loves playing with his stackable plates. Also tennis sized balls. If you think a toy is too little to give, you can always add a nice outfit with it. :)

    I actually want people to get DD toys. I have all of my childhood books and DH's plus the ones that I buy. Always want more. But I don't buy toys. Toys are special and should be given for birthdays and Christmas. <img src="https://community.thebump.com/

    Books and bath toys are at the top of dd's list.  Clothes are great too, but sizing is difficult unless you know the child.  DD is just now moving out of 9 mo clothes and still fits them all except in pants length, but her cousin was in 18 mo cl

    Baby bubble bath is fun, maybe with some fun washclothes, a monogramed towel, or bath toys. I like splurging on California Baby bubble bath with the blowing bubbles wand. It makes a gift that's fun and useful for the parents and baby.
