As of late I have found that DS is very disinterested in any of his toys. Do you have any fun game suggestions/toys with lasting value? I feel like I'm running out of ideas to keep him entertained especially since his attention span is 10 minutes or less.

Wash dishes. Seriously. Fill the up the sink with water and bubbles and let him play. My son loves this and it enterains him for a long time. Of course you have to not mind a little mess.
Ball pit (see siggy)
Fingerpaint with yogurt
Make a pillow fort
Put on some music and dance
Read books
Get out of the house!
Go to the library. They might have story hour, or even fun when there isn't.
DD is 20mo and in a phase now where she loves to take everything from one big bucket and put it into another then repeat. So we fill a couple bins with her smaller toys that she doesn't really use and will then let her go to town on moving them b
Someone posted about the ball pit. We did this for DS and I completely forgot about it for DD! Get a cheap blow up kiddie pool and a bunch of those balls (found them on clearance at target) and let him go to town.
Story time at the library is
I guess DH and I don't feel a need to "entertain" our son (21 mo). He plays with his toys, and we follow his lead and play with him. We read to him a lot, which he loves. But I don't feel like I'm in charge of constantly entertaining him. He's an only
Anything involving exploration or dump and fill will actually hold his attention for a bit. Never 2 hours, but I can get 20 minutes. Honestly, we've been doing a gradual tour of every playground within a 20 minute drive of our house.
