Hands.

Have your LOs discovered their hands yet? Grabbing things? At what age did they start?

It seems like most of you have talked about rattles and holding something. DD still hasn't discovered her hands yet. I know this was something the wonder weeks said happens at the 8 week mark also. She has gotten more and more alert and smiles and talks now, but her hands still just flail like crazy and she has no idea when I stick something in her hand.

  • Mine in only interested in chewing on her fists. I can put a rattle in her hand but she's not interested in it unless I'm holding it. She's 8 weeks today.

  • If I put a rattle in her hand she'll fling it around and she's swat at hanging toys but she definitely isn't grabbing things on her own. She discovered her hands and was constantly putting them in her mouth starting around 8-9 weeks old but she's teething
  • I was wondering the same thing but this week, from one day to the next there was a noticeable difference. He has been playing with his hands and they have been in his mouth constantly as well. Prior to this he would grip things if placed in his hands and

  • I guess about 2 weeks ago? Around 10 weeks. I is really into grabing blankets or something (like clothing) that is on him - not toys yet. And he loves to try to eat his fist.

  • Georgia just turned 3 months and is just now starting to grab toys and use her hands. She's been sucking on her fists for probably 3 or 4 weeks. When she's laying on her back age sticks her arms straight out and stares at her hands. It's hilarious.

  • DS will occasionally grab and hold on to things, but I don't think that he's actively seeking them.  I think it's more that he's waving his hands around and when they hit something he grabs on.  He definitely likes to chew on his hands and has f

DS has just started to suck on his fists in the last week.  He has also started to grab onto toys if I put them in his lap/ on his chest when he is sitting in the boppy pillow or in my lap.  We have an o ball rattle and that is easy for him t

  • This is us too LO will be 10 weeks on Tues.
  • My lo has found her feet, but not really her hands yet. She picks up her feet and stares at them. She doesn't grab for anything. It makes me sad. She's 12 weeks today.

  • The CDC milestone list for 2 months mentions putting hand in mouth, and that is about the only thing my LO does on purpose with her hands. The majority of her hand movements is just flailing around. If she hits something while flailing, then she's likely
