Baby Girl is most likely going to be Greta. I'm 99% sure.
Are there any nn possibilities? I can't think of any. I know Greta can be a nn for Margaret, but I don't want to name her Margaret.
I'm cool with no nicknames, just wanted to think this through. I see "G" being a possibility. Our lastname starts with G as well so Gigi might get used too.
Re: nickname options for Greta?
I don't think Greta has any natural nicknames. Also, IMO (I am sure others will disagree) but Greta is all NN to me.
I don't even really like Gigi as a NN for Greta. Of course you could use it, but it seems a little forced sinc

Maybe Etta but that seems like too much of a stretch.
Until I married, my initials were G.G., I detested being called Gigi.

IL's had a dog named Gretchen ... so ... : )
I don't love Gigi as a nn either, just wanted to be mentally prepared that it could happen.
I love Greta on it's own!
I love Greta on its own, too. I do like Margaret, but Greta can definitely be a stand-alone name.
Honestly? I think this is one where the nickname will have to arise organically. It's short enough not to need a nickname.&
