I've gotta ask - how often does your LO see your extended family?
I ask b/c my parents don't see Pip a lot - maybe once every 2 -3 months - and they live within a 10 minute drive. They ask about her all the time, get her outfits and take tons of pictures when they do see her - and our relationship is great (really, really great!!). I think I'm bitter b/c my Mom watched my niece and nephew when they were babies and she's only offered to babysit Pip 2 times (when Pip was about 3 mos.). I also asked if they could watch her overnight in August last year, but that's been it. And it's not only babysitting - I would just love for her to spend some time with her. I know my Mom's busy - she's got a seasonal job from Jan - April, she's been running around taking care of an aging parent (in a retirement home), and her father just died in November after a prolonged illness, but it seems like she's not even attempting to make time to spend with Pip. She took off a week from work to go on vacation and before she left she told me me about how she & Dad are making plans for a big trip in May once work is over. I know these are her golden years and she should enjoy them - but I'm left sitting here stewing over when Pip might make her to-do list. PS - I'm not as hard on my Dad b/c he doesn't know how to change a diaper, so he'd never offer to watch Pip - he wouldn't know what to do. He's awesome with her - just doesn't know the basics - KWIM?
Am I being unreasonable? And seriously, how often does your family see your LO(s)?

My parents and IL's are both out of state, but within two states of us (i.e. it's not a we're in California and they're in NY type of situation). My parents see DS about once every 6 weeks, so since he's been born probably 7-8 times. I

But know that we see both sets that often because I make the p
