Food ideas for baptism/christening reception..,

We're having our baby boy dedicated next month and I'm looking for cost efficient food ideas. I live in So Cal and would love to BBQ but the weather can be unpredictable during the Spring. Any food ideas for about 20 people?

    What about crock pot pulled pork and cole slaw? That way you can prepare the slaw the night before and just dump all the pork ingredients in the crock pot and turn on before you leave? 

    Then you can do some dips/chips and a fresh fruit salad

    We had Mediterranean Food catered for DD. We're baptizing DS on Easter, so MIL is making Easter dinner for everyone.

    Our son's christening was this past Sunday st Patrick's day. We had a deli tray if course it included corn beef, patato soup, cabbage and apple salad and soda bread. For dessert we had cake and fresh fruit made to looke like a rainbow with gold foil can

    I think I'm going to do a pasta bar. Two kinds of pasta, a white sauce and a red sauce with salad.
    Me: unexplained infertility - annovulatory DH: testicular cancer survivor!! TTC since June 2009 BFP May 11, 2012 EDD January 24, 2013 June 1, 2012 - first u/s, heartbeat 124 BPM!! June 22, 2012 - heard the heartbeat 9w1d 181 BPM!! 24 hours of labor, 4 1/2 hours of pushing, and IT'S A BOY! Welcome to the world my miracle, we prayed and prayed for you, and we can't believe you're here!
