Dirty Sock / Egg / Teething....really

So I was picking up DD from daycare yesterday, and was talking about DD teething with her teacher, and another mom told me that the solution to teething is to have your husband wear a white sock, then put an egg in the sock and hang in DD's closet and teething pain will be gone.......ahhhh OK....she was totally serious, and it was difficult not to laugh!
