Am I in the midst of the 4mth growth spurt! Advice needed :)

Baby girl is 16w ? next Friday is her 4 month old birthday. The past couple of nights have been really difficult and I am wondering if we are starting to enter the 4 month growth spurt. She was sleeping 8pm-5-6ish for about the past 10 weeks. Now, all of a sudden, over the past 5 days she is increasingly waking up more; the past 2 nights were the worst - she is getting up every hour. She is fussy and generally wants to eat or I soothe her back to sleep in her crib by rubbing her back. She is eating 50% more of what she normally eats (which is OK, its just a lot more). Is this the first signs of the 4month growth spurt? She is somewhat more fussy during the day, going less time between feedings but the biggest change to us is the night time waking. I have taken her temperature, bms are normal, etc so she?s not sick.

I hear rumors this can last months?..how long did it last for you and any tips to make it through?

I feel your pain. DD's 4 month wakeful lasted for 4 weeks. She was all over the place with eating, naps, etc. and was up every 3 hours at night. But last night she slept 10-7!!!! So I'm hoping it's over. I think the big change is that she's started to rol

4 months is generally kind of a rough age

Growth spurts, increased wakefulness, and hitting milestones all happen at once and can really throw things off for a few weeks. Then add in the beginning of teething, and it really gets interesting. Not trying

It does sound like it. For both of my kids this was a short burst/disruption. I think for DD it lasted just under 2 weeks. For DS it only lasted about 4 days.
