December 2010 Moms

Hi, I'm back (longish)

Hey ladies :)

I took an unplanned Bump break and now I'm back. I tried lurking a little bit but I'm sure I missed a whole bunch and will have to catch up. Anyway, before my hiatus we had lots going on so here is a quick update.

G is doing so much better, she had RSV with a hospital stay. No breathing treatments in the last 3 weeks. I was sure we'd be dealing with respiratory issues for a while after but so far we've been very lucky, FX she stays healthy. Also, she started walking about 2 weeks ago, EEK! She's into everything now.

O is great too. Nothing special to report there but that's ok because at this point in time he is healthy and happy.

It's been almost a month since my papa's stroke and we're all trying to fall into a new norm. It's been a roller coaster since we still don't know what to expect long term, for now he is alive and is starting to recover. They moved him into an extended care facility a couple days ago so they can continue his different therapies, speech and physical, since he is nowhere near ready to go home.

I finally had my second MRI to try and determine what the liver lesions are, I'm hoping to hear some results by the end of the week. I've also started getting my anxiety back under control, whoo hoo. Oh and medical related, with all my tests, G's hospital stay, and O's surgery we've reached our insurance deductable and out of pocket costs for the year already. I've joked we should get pg right now so it would all be covered, lol. Definitely not going to happen but it's a nice thought. ;)

If you read that, thanks :) Here's a treat for you

  • Welcome back! I've been a lurker lately as well, so I didn't even realize you had so much going on! I'm glad things are getting better and people are getting healthier. It seems to have been a hard winter for so many people I know!

  • Aww, poor G! I'm glad she's feeling better! DD just got over a case of bronchiolitis caused by RSV. She wasn't hospitalized, luckily, but we did the nebulizer at home for 2 weeks.

And wow, walking already?! What a big girl!
