YMCA/Littlegym/Gymboree?

Anyone have a membership to their local YMCA? It is about the same price as joining The little gym/Gymboree. However, for mommy/me classes there is also a separate fee for it at the YMCA.  But it seems like I would get more use out of a Y membership.

Anyone tried The Little Gym, Gymboree, or the Y and have a preference? Anything you loved or hated about them?

Re: YMCA/Littlegym/Gymboree?

  • I only have a YMCA here, and apparently their kiddy pool isn't all that warm so we go to a local gym/arena. We are going to get a punch pass first to see how often we go, then get a membership if we find it worth it.

  • In my professional opinion, The Little Gym has the best programs for children under 3. However; they are also the most expensive. I think at this age, it doesn't really matter because the classes are less for skill and more for socialization.
