What does baby diarrhea look like?

So my little one has epic poops about once a day.  They are yellow mustard color but very watery and cover her whole butt, front everywhere.  I mostly breastfeed but I supplement twice a day with gentlease.  I notice the explosive poops usually come after the gentlease.  Is this considered diarrhea? I spoke to my pedi and she said it was normal but since she hasn't seen the poop herself I am skeptical.  LO does not have a fever or anything.  Anyone else notice the same thing?

    I think it sounds like normal poop to me.

    Normal! Newborn poop is very loose and runny looking. Depending if your baby is BF or FF, the color can range from yellow to green.

    FWIW, when LO goes, it covers his whole diaper too up the front and back.

    Diarrhea in babies is not determined by the consistency, but the frequency. One poop a day is most definitely not diarrhea. Think about it- they are only drinking liquids, so of course what comes out will be liquid too.

    Totally normal. I wondered myself what baby diarrhea was because my baby had very runny poops too. Then it happened. BELIEVE ME you will know it when you see it.
