How many times a day does your LO eat cereal

My lo will be five months old on Sunday and we have just started doing cereal for about 10 days now.  I made the mistake of starting with rice.  now we are trying oatmeal.  She still hasn't gotten the hang of it but the pedi told us at her four month appointment to do twice a day.  That sounds like a lot to me.  We are doing just once a day for now because she is showing very little interest in cereal - rice or oatmeal  Should I start pushing it to two times per day?

    Since LO is not even 6 months I would not push anything. Unless your Pedi told you to start rice and oatmeal for a certain reason.

    Stop feeding those and try again in a few weeks. Our pedi said 1 tsp a day until they get the hang of it. Then twice a day. Then introduce something different. Eating now is just practice and all nutrients come from BM or Formula.

    My little guy wasn't ready to eat when we introduced solids per his pedi's advice. We gave it a rest for two weeks, then started again. THEN, he got it and eats like a champ. We still do just a once-a-day cereal feeding.
