Store bought vs. home made

I have tried over and over again to give my LO home made purees and he just doesn't like them. He prefers store bought stuff.

I feel terrible that he doesn't prefer home made food. And I want him to eat a meal so I end up giving him store bought foods.

Does anyone else's LO eat only store bought foods?

could it be the texture? try making it a little bit more liquidy and puree it in a blender instead of a food processor. That will make it more like store bought consistency.

Are you making the purees smooth enough? I always have a hard time getting all the chunks out and sometimes have to re-blend it a couple times to get it just right.

Nothing wrong with store bought but if you really want to give him "home made" for whatever reason (health, cost, etc) maybe consider moving away from purees completely. Give him whole food - soft pieces of fruit, roasted/steamed veggies, shredded c

Try adding spices. I sprinkle my apples, carrots and sweet potatoes with cinnamon. I drizzle olive oil on my carrots.
