Baby moves away from home doppler?!

Any one have this experience? For a week or so I could pick up baby heart beat really easily. Now, I am 16 weeks and the past 2 days, I pick up the heart beat for only a few moments, sometimes it is enough for me to hear what the rate is, but not for it to register on the doppler. I am checking in the morning and in the evening. I find her heart beat a few inches above my pelvic bone and bam, she dances away  to the part of my uterus that is below the pelvic bone. 

I suppose she won't fit down there much longer. I've heard that babies will move away from pressure on the uterus. I guess this is what is happening?!

    DD would start going nuts every time I used the Doppler trying to move away from it. Which worked ok for me since I only used it in third trimester when I hadn't felt her move in awhile and was starting to get nervous!

    Interesting! I tried a new technique that worked, I predicted where she was and put the doppler directly to that spot and didn't move it. Some how I think this child is going to like hide and seek.

    My LO used to hide from the doppler too but now that I'm further along,  he can't :-)   Guess there is no room for him to hide anymore.
