Reading to LO

I must admit that I feel like a "bad mommy" when it comes to this department.  I feel like I don't read to him nearly as much as I should, and all the pressure from everyone to do so, makes me feel way behind.

The fact of the matter is, is that he really doesn't "let" me read to him! I try to often, but he takes the books out of my hands and just wants to flip the books opened and closed.

I do "narrate" to him all the time and I'm always singing songs and making up songs to him, so I know he gets enough that way, but I can't shake the feeling that I'm not doing enough.

He doesn't even give me enough time to just talk about what pictures are on the pages lol he is just more interested in playing with the books...it's cute, but I just want to read to him sometimes!!

Anyone else in the same boat?

August 2019 - 2.5 mg of Letrozole = Never Ovulated so Trigger and IUI were cancelled
9/30/2019 - IUI #1 (5 mg of Letrozole + Trigger) =  BFP but Betas showed CP @ 4 weeks
10/28/2019 - IUI #2 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN
11/25/2019 - IUI #3 (7.5mg of Letrozole, Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN
12/24/2019 - IUI #4 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Crinone after IUI) = BFN
1/24/2020 - IUI #5 (50mg of Clomid + Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN and an Ovarian Cyst
3/2/2020 - Taking a break to reset/NTNP
11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay. <3

    My DS loves books and we read everyday...he loves barnyard dance by Sandra boyton and will sit through all books that are rhyme..

    Don't stress! I think any reading is great at this age.

    Sometimes DS sits through a book but only if it's short. I try to pick books with few words on each page.

    My DS does the same thing and grabs the pages. This is why I stic

    Yeah, Anja isn't digging books yet. I read her one today, however I normally don't read to her daily. We're not there yet.

    Part of DS's routine before he goes to bed for nap or night is for me to read him at least one story. I kind of regret making it part of the nap routine b/c it means I can't just put him in the crib, but it does help to settle him down and get him relaxed

    We made it through maybe half of Goodnight Moon tonight before DS crawled away to chase the cat. He likes to eat books.

    DD eats books also.  So I sit her in my lap, and give her one of those indestructible books or one with the hard pages, and I read a different book that is out of her reach.  Then she can flip the pages back and forth and we are both happy.&n
