Help Please! Acid Reflux

Hi!  Long time lurker here.  I need some advice for dealing with acid reflux.  My DD is 5 wks old and has pretty bad acid reflux.  She is on Zantac and we just recently increased her dose (per her doctor).  She is getting .8 ml three times a day.  We also burp after every once, keep her upright after feeding, and she sleeps on an incline in her RnP.  She will not nap during the day and quite often stays awake for 10 to 12 hours during the day.  She cries whenever you put her down.  I am losing my mind a little.  She is formula fed only.  She also spits up a lot and vomits about once a day.  I'm told that her Zantac will not help this, it will get better as she gets older.

If anyone has any advice for dealing with the acid reflux issues, I would love to hear them. Please!  Thank you!

  • We do hold her at a slight incline and this does help some with the vomiting.  We are currently feeding her Enfamil Newborn.  We tried the Enfamil AR and it made things worse.  We will have to try the sensitive of either the Enfamil or S

  • All three of my babies had/have reflux.  Other than medicine, the main thing that helped my boys (and I'm just now starting with my DD) is to cut out dairy.  I also cut gluten from my diet which made a huge difference, but if you're formula feed
