FIrst u/s doesn't look good

Hi.  I am new here.  I went for my first u/s last night and was told by the tech that the baby was measuring small and she couldn't detect a heartbeat.  No doctor was available so I was scheduled to come back next week for another u/s to see if anything change.  I have a call into my doctor for some answers.  I don't know how small I am measuring.  The tech didn't give me any info.  Hopefully the doctor can give me some reassuring news.

    I'm sorry they didnt' get a doctor in to talk to you.  I don't know how far along you were supposed to be but maybe its possible that your dates are off or you ovulated late?  If you are under 7 weeks its very possible to not see a heartbeat yet

    I'm sorry you're having to deal with this right now. Hang in there and hopefully you'll get to talk to your doctor sooner than later.

    Thank you everyone for the kind comments and wishes.  I spoke to the doctor and I am actually measuring 6w 4 days. According to my LPM I should be starting 8 weeks today. I am going back on the 27th for a follow up ultra sound.  The

    I hope you get better news next week!  I'm surprised they did that early ultrasound with no doctor around.  Agree with PPs that if you are a late ovulator, or have irregular periods, it could definitely be too early to tell.  A lot of do
