Hi there! I'm Salt and I am an only child mom. My DD just turned 1 on March 5th and she is the absolute light of my life, but I have known pretty much forever that I would only end up having one child. I am technically an only child myself (my oldest half sibling is 16 years younger than me) and I loved it growing up. My husband has 2 sisters, but he was very much on board with being one and done as well.
My husband and I have received a fair amount of judgement about our decision. (According to some people I'm mean and my daughter is going to have such a sad life because she won't have siblings blah blah blah) I'm happy to see there is a board now for people who are in a similar position with only having one child.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Being content with what you have is such a hard thing for some people to accept. My second favorite, second only to you'll-ruin-his-life-without-siblings, is the condescending, "Well, it's okay, not everyone can handle lots of kids," as if it's an abil
