So my 5.5 week old slept through the night...

I woke up at 1:30 and freaked bc be hadn't woken up after 5.5 hours. I pumped and just kinda waited for him to wake. At 3 I finally got him bc I wasn't sleeping just waiting on him he was making hunger cues but was asleep. It's now 630 and he's still sleeping. My boobs are killing me bc I only pumped once during the night. Is it ok that he went this long??? It seems kind of early.

On a normal night, my ds only wakes once. Dd was the same way by that point.

Our pedi said to limit it to 6 hrs max at this age, not that my kid would ever go longer than 3 on his own. I wish! I'd wake at this point if I were you and save your boobs!

i think also at this point babies have one off nights like that. cant count on the fact that it will happen again tonight! but agree, to save yourself if it happens again wake him/her and dream feed.

my baby has been sleeping through the night semi-regularly (he alternates between that and waking up once) since birth and he's strong and healthy!

To clarify I pump exclusively so dream feed wasn't an option. The night before he slept 5.5 hrs. I'm not counting on it forever but it was certainly nice! It shows light at the end of the tunnel
