Make the decision to be one and done?
A friend, who has 3 children and wants 1 more, asked when we were thinking about having another. I told her that were done, and I'm completely fulfilled with just ds. She doesn't know half of our fertility struggles, and I didn't get into that. She told me that since ds is only 7 months old, I shouldn't be able to make such a big decision yet.
We made the decision to be one and done before pregnancy, and even before we started TTC.

When I had a ministroke at 7 wks. I was praying to get this baby into the world. Even though I would be on blood thinners immediately, I think it would be selfish for me to risk it again when I have a son already. &nb
DH wanted to be one and done from the start, but was willing to have two since that's what I originally desired.
Then life happened and it became very obvious to us that we will be a complete family of three.

DH & I pretty much always knew we only wanted one child.
We live in a HCOL area, so more than one child would require us to make lifestyle changes that we would really rather not.
Then I nearly died from unexplained post-partum hem
3 years ago. We were originally not planning on having any children, but decided to give it a shot and try for 1. Neither of us are interested in 2. When I was first pregnant, we were sooooo hoping it wasn't twins!
