Two Under 2

due in two weeks 16 months apart

hi everyone, i introduced myself a long time ago but have mostly been a lurker gleaning advice and learning from all of you more experienced moms.

as for prep, i'm about to wash all my son's old nb and 0-3 clothes and already bought a city select. my first hated being worn, but i've busted out my ergo and infant insert and hoping that the second will like it more so i can still play with my first son and have hands free.

if anyone has any general advice i'd appreciate it!

my biggest concern is that my son (who has been sleeping through the night since he was 3 months) will start to wake up when he hears the baby. their rooms will be across the hall from each other. i'll be nursing but prob won't have our LO in our room for long. i'm also nervous about how meals and feedings will go, but i'll wing it the best i can and hopefully have a routine before long. tia!

  • Do you have a sound machine in DS1's room?  I moved my girls into the same room, when DD2 was around 13 months old.  They very rarely wake each other up.

  • Our two are 13.5m apart. We never had an issue with dd waking DS up in the middle of the night. We moved her to her room next to his last month without a hitch. Both kids have this sound machine in their rooms, it is relatively inexpensive and it can e

  • My two are 19 months apart. Just recently DD is waking when she hears Ds in the middle of the night. Their rooms are right next to each other.

She is getting in 4 teeth, so I think that her sleep is off anyway. Normally she sleep from 7a to

  • I absolutely agree with PP that 0-1 was harder than 1-2. At the same time though, the first 3 months are still hard. As far as meals, crock pot. You (or DH) can throw things in and then you don't have to worry about dinner. My 2 fav meals to make:
