So do you go shopping solo or with LO?
If LO goes with you where do they go? Grocery cart? Walking around? Car attached to grocery cart?
DH started letting A walk with him on his walmart runs about 5 months ago, now A will have none of it (riding in the grocery cart) if I try and make him its an all out fit and screaming "walk! walk! walk!" So for a couple months he didn't go on our longer trips to the stores H or I did them alone. Now A walks with us through the grocery aisles. He's pretty good about not touching stuff on the shelves, but he gets real hyped up about not being in the cart that he likes to yell excitedly what we are looking for likes its a scavenger hunt. I took both boys out for a longer grocery trip (about 45 min) and both did great. J is big enough to sit in the grocery cart unassisted and A and I can play scavenger hunt together. I'm a bit frazzled by the end, thank goodness for grocery lists, but the boys had fun. Any adventures in grocery shopping you'd like to share?
Re: Challenge Q: Grocery shopping
O loves to go grocery shopping and "help". He still sits in the cart-I am not sure he is aware that there is another option and I think I will keep it that way.
I usually give him the list and a crayon and he marks the stuff off as I put
We have our groceries delivered.
But at other stores like Target or BRU, he sits in the cart. He wants to walk, but he doesn't know how to walk with us yet. He just runs where he wants to go. I have no idea how to teach him to walk with me, becau
If we are making a quick trip I will just let him
Grocery shopping is a family affair, we all 3 go. I always give DD the option of riding, walking, or being carried.<SPAN style="ms

We do a big grocery run once a week. Usually thats when G gets to spend tim with MIL. Sometimes he comes with us and he'll sit in the cart.
Other times when I just need to run in and get a few items and no one can watch G, he'll come
Since I only work 3 days a week - I try to do a lot of grocery shopping/errands on a weekday that I have off so that on the weekends we can do more fun stuff with DH.

I haven't gone on a shopping trip just me & DS in quite a while, but he would always love sitting in the shopping cart.

It's usually Ava and I that go together. She sits in the cart and is *usually* pretty good if she has some crackers or a sample of deli meat
She's still in the "freak-out-if-the-cashier-looks at/talks-to her-stage", so that's where it br
My DH does 99% of the shopping.
I go every now and then, usually after I drop the triplets at PreK and then just have Jericho with me. He usually rides, unless I am only there for one or two things then I may let him walk.
Alone if I can manage it.
If she comes she sits in the seat part of the cart. I'm not ready for free-roaming toddler in the grocery store.

She comes along for pretty much every shopping trip and sits in the cart. She sees the car carts and gets very excited but I'm just like "oh...those aren't for us".
She walks when we go to the mall though instead of using the stroller.

I love the scavenger hunt idea.
DH does more of the grocery shopping in our house. He takes B but usually puts him in a cart, I'm much more likely to have B out and walking with me, mainly because I want him to get used to staying wit
