Washable toothpicks for my picky eater?

We have recently discovered that my daughter will pick up and eat foods that are in small pieces on toothpicks - not everything, but I do it with certain things in order to entice her and make it fun.  Wondering if anyone who does this has found washable/reusable toothpicks? Just thinking I don't want to keep buying and throwing away wooden ones after each dinner.

Re: Washable toothpicks for my picky eater?

  • So I just stumbled across some small forks/picks that are considered 'bento box' decorations.  Anyone know if they can be purchased in stores?

  • at a party store you could get those plastic toothpicks used for olives or fruit in drinks.  You could probably get a few uses out of them.

  • Agree with pp on the plastic toothpicks. I saved all the sticks from my edible arrangement and my kids use those quite a bit... They're plastic, longer and easier to hold, and no sharp points!
