Intro, and how did I miss this board?

Soooo yes, we are OAD!! First off, only children turn out great, I am one myself! DH and I have been together for 8 years, married for almost 3. Our wee DD is almost 18months.

Our original plan was two but I had a rough pregnancy. Blocked kideny at 17 weeks on which required many hospital stays and many surgeries. I delivered via csection at 36 weeks. Csetion was always our plan due to my hip dysplasia. Wee one was in the NICU for a small time thank god it was brief. 6 months after birth my hip dysplasia took me out due to my pregnancy weight gain and I ended up with a total hip replacement at age 32 and with a 6 month old. Now my other one is giving out as well. Gall bladder was removed during and emergent surgery 3 month after that.

My whole family and OB are all on board now that my health and sanity cannot handle any more pregnancies. Our insurance will not cover "voluntary sterilization" so imgaine how that makes us feel.

I wont lie, people and their easy pregnancies and new pregnancies make me sad ( but happy for them). And hearing them complain about all the things I wish I could have complained about but instead got dealt a different hand.

I am glad that there is this board, I am glad we all have one happy and healthy baby!!!
