my LO is almost 6 months and has no problem sleeping through the night, but most days we struggle with naps. Whether at home in her crib, in the carseat, or out and about in stroller she can't nap longer than 20-40 min. I have done a little research and heard of the 40 min intruder naps, but still a little confused what to try with her. I do leave her if she just wakes and is ok, also have tried rocking back after letting her CIO for 10 to 15 min. I have tried nursing and putting her down awake, or asleep. Some days it takes an hour to get her to sleep and then she will only sleep for 30 min. I am looking for any advice to get her to take 2 decent naps a day.
Re: Nap troubles
You can set your watch by my LO's 40 minute naps. He takes 4 of these cat naps a day. I've done so much research on it that my head is spinning. The other day, DH asked me "what's the big deal? he's happy and healthy!"
