The first cold.

DD has her first cold.... sigh.

I thought it was teething... all the signs were there, but this morning woke up coughing and stuffy and sneezing. She feels awful! Her stuffy and runny nose is making eating pretty tough. Is there anything to help ease the congestion? I tried the hospital suction bulb but no luck. Its been tough getting fluids into her.

I hope this goes away as fast as it showed up!

Try the little noses saline drops. My son has had 2 colds now and this helped with his congestion. You can also run a hot shower and let her breathe in the steam.

Both my DDs have colds right now. Saline drops and boogie wipes have been our saviors.

Thanks for the ideas! We are in the middle of a snowstorm right now (Grrr) so tomorrow I will have to run out and get a few things. Cross your fingers for me... I have a feeling I am in for a long night!

we have had several colds, DD goes to daycare. I second the Nose Frida it's weird but awesome. The humidifier also is very helpful with night time congestion. I know it seems kind of backwards adding more moisture to an already runny nos

Thanks for all of your tips! Today Penny woke up super stuffy and congested but I have cranked the humidifier in her playroom, saline spray (with boogie wipes in-between!) and lots of naps and she's already perked up a bit. I am still hunting down a nose

nose freida works great..put a few saline drops and then suction it out.. warm bath .. vicks vapopads worked great for us too..really helped him breathe.
