On to 2nd Clomid cycle....

AF arrived today....trying 50mg if Clomid again.  All tests came back fine....HSG, AMH, endometrial biopsy, SA...my cycle was long, 32 days, but I ovulated on day 18 so LP is not an issue....progesterone confirmed o....

just kind of disappointed.  After 14 cycles trying on our own and 1 with clomid, after hearing all the test results I was just kind if hopeful that the clomid would give me the boost I needed....

Trying to be hopeful for this next cycle, but day 1 is hard...

    I was there last month.  We had tried for #2 for more than two years on our own, and last month was our first Letrozole cycle.  I just had this great feeling that we would get a bfp right away with Letrozole, but no.  It seems like I keep h

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    Sorry your first cycle on clomid didnt do the trick. But I've also heard that cycle two and three are the lucky ones. Im hoping next cycle is the one for you!

    I remember feeling the same way when we had our first clomid cycle. I like what the other posts are saying about 2nd and 3rd cycles though! Cd1 is always a low, but never lose hope!!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Sorry to hear this.  Like many other pp's have said, we too got all jazzed for our first round of TTC with meds, only to get a BFN.  Hang in there!  Hoping for better news for you next month!

    5/07 - DD conceived naturally cycle #1

    8/09 - Started TTC #2
    11/10 - BFP!
    12/10 - MC (Chemical Pregnancy)
    2/11 - IUI #1 with clomid & trigger = BFN
    5/11- Switched to a Fertility Specialist, Dx with low progesterone and annovulatory, several rounds of
             clomid = BFN's
    4/12 - Exploratory Lap, Dx Stage III endo
    5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
    8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
    9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
    1/13 - Referred to an RE
    2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
    3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
    5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!
    EDD - 1/23/14

    I'm sorry you got a bfn. I agree, cd 1 is so hard, I find it especially difficult on medicated cycles! My DS was conceived on our third clomid/iui cycle. Hang in there and good luck with your next cycle.

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1

    Yup, I felt that way too.  We have been trying for 4.5 years, after that many failed cycles, I stopped ever expecting to be pg.  Then we finally went in and I did my first round of Clomid.  I was so excited, had this feeling of&nbsp
