Spout vs. Straw Sippy Cup...

DD loves her straw sippy cup and is completely comfortable using it, but she's not such a big fan of the spout type (soft or hard spout, I've tried 'em all). If I just let her use the straw sippy, is she going to miss out on some critical developmental skill or something? TIA!

No. All kids will figure out how to tip a cup in good time. My daughter prefers the straw too because she doesn't get that she needs to tip it.

DD uses both. FWIW I read somewhere that straw cups help development of facial muscles.
