S/o night terrors

Someone mentioned that their kid gets night terrors if they don't get enough daytime sleep. DD was crying in her sleep around 5 this morning; I thought it was her teeth b/c they've been bugging her bad, so H went in to give her some motrin. She *flipped* out hard, crying like she'd just had the pants scared off of her. Could that be a night terror?

My friends have had similar behaviors, I think it's teething. I started giving Timothy Hyland's Calms Forte to help him sleep during the molars stage. Works like a charm. He only had one bad night where he woke up screaming.

Night terrors can happen from lack of sleep, or disruption to routine. DD gets them (although knock on wood it's been a few months). nightterrors.org is a good website for reference. There's a section for children.

We've had a few nights where Addy had a night terror (at least that's what her pedi told us it was). The pedi said they typically won't happen in children this young, but that it can happen. Addy woke up around 10:00 all three times screaming
