My % month old had really bad eczema and his skin was extremely dry. His Dr recommended Cetaphil for eczema and it has worked wonders. We had tried every thing else before that with no luck
Cortizone 10 makes an excema creme and it works wonders for my son's excema he gets on his arms, legs and shoulders. My Pedi recommended it.
BFP #1 2/10/10: No HB on 4/29/10 at 15 wk, D&C 4/30/10, Baby measured 11-12 wks. First Pregnancy and first loss.
BFP #2 7/25/10: Blake Daniel arrived 3/25/11
BFP #3 3/9/12: Our Turkey Baby! Due Date: 11/19/12
At the advice of our pedi we use Basis Sensitive Skin Bar to bathe and then grease him up with Cetaphil. Save yourself the $$ with all the fancy eczema creams and washes. That bar of soap was $2 and worked like a charm.
My pedi said to use Hydrocortisone on the trouble spots as needed, not everyday. And then Aveeno cream daily to moisturize his skin. The Hydrocortisone cream has been a life saver!
Theraplex emollient worked really well for us. My MIL worked for a dermatologist and it's not a well-known product. My LO has it pretty bad and this product really helped a lot. And I tried just about everything else! Google Theraplex!
After trying lots of different eczema creams we tried Mustella and it has worked great for us! It's a little pricey but has been the only thing we have used that has made any difference. We also use aquaphor ointment in addition to the Mustell
