Feeding problem

My son Charlie is 5 months. He has been bottle fed for a while and all of a sudden, his spit up amount has skyrocketed! He eats about 5 1/2-6 oz. every 3/4 hours and it has been that way for a couple weeks. We have not changed formula or amount. Charlie seems to have a lot more gas than usual and his crying really has gone up. My once happy baby now is a crying, upset, and uncomfortable messy boy.  I have called the doctor and am waiting for his call but was wondering if any others have been having this problem or any solutions. Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Have you started solids yet?  I was having this problem and I have noticed over the last week that the amount of spit up has decreased since we started solids.  It might just be coincidence.  But my pedi told me it is not uncommon for LO
