Maybe tomorrow I can go a whole day without a carrier question.... ![]()
So I've narrowed down the woven wrap that I think I would want, should I go that direction. Now I'm trying to narrow down the brand of mei tai I would want, if I decide on that type of carrier instead. I see that the local BW group has a BabyHawk that I could try on.
What I'm looking for in a MT: I want something cool for the summer. I want something that doesn't look or feel bulky. I want it to mold to my body/baby. I'm short, so I don't need a long body or anything. I'd rather the shoulder straps not be so wide and not be too padded that they look bulky on me. I don't want a padded waste. Something nice and easy to roll up would be a plus.
From looking online, I like the Mei Tai Baby brand. In pictures, at least, those look more fitted and the shoulder straps don't look as wide as some other brands (which, for me, I like). I also like that it has the option of a removable headrest.
Of course, I love all the prints that BabyHawk offers. But the padded straps and headrest do look a bit bulky to me in pictures. But, again, I can try that one in real life and I know that's a popular brand.
