paying for ultrasound to know the sex?

I can't resist!!! lol.... A lot of you already know the sex of the baby... I will have the ultrasound at week 20!!! (I'm 13 weeks now). My next appt is at week 16, so I called today and asked how much it would cost for the ultrasound.... well, the lady said $100 but she said that the baby would have to really cooperate in order to see the sex...I don't know what to do!!!! ahhaha.. I'm dying to know!!! but I don't want to pay $100 and then come home without knowing if it is a boy or girl.....

I guess I'm just jealous (in a really bad, mean way!!!! =P)  of all of you who already know the sex!!!!! =)

Did you pay for the ultrasound in order to know the sex???

    We have imaging places around Georgia...we went to one about 20 mins from our house and spent 59 plus tax! It was worth every penny. Baby was very cooperative! I drank OJ about 30 mins before and it was squirming like crazy!

    I had a scan last week...14 weeks plus a few days for some spotting I had and I accidently saw the gender lol...3 times!!! I'm not 100 sure at that early if its accurate but I know what I saw.

    Otherwise I will have to wait til week 20 too bo

    I have my appt scheduled for the 29th. I will be 14w4d. We are paying 75, but if they're not able to tell us what it is, we get to go back for free until they can. I'm so anxious!

    We got a groupon for a pretty reputable place that my friend used. We'll be going at 15w5d. If they can't tell we go back for free I think most places do that. I think we paid around 50. Good luck!

    I am paying $50 next Monday for a gender scan. They said if they can't see then, we can come back in a week for free.

    DH and I are debating. I now want to know both... he wants to try one u/s (the anatomy scan) and whatever we find out then will be it... 

    If our 18-20 week anatomy scan doesn't show I might be tempted.

    I have known a couple people who found out at an early ultrasound and it turned out they were wrong. Because of this we wait until eighteen weeks or later. I don't want to get all set in a gender and then have to change modes.

    elective ones are usually not.

    We went for an elective us yesterday for 50 14w6d. It was well worth it for us! Got to see baby kicking around and waving its arms. Also got to see it was a little girl! It was awesome and well worth the money to us

    I only found out so early because of the maternit21 test. Otherwise I'd probably be waiting until 21 weeks with how my appointments have been spaced out.

    There are almost no 3d places around me, but the one I found is $150 (a single owner who does it all in a spa-ish place).

    I would save the 100 to buy something nice for the baby. You know, something necessary.

    I am waiting till around week 19-20 as well. I want to know the sex and could pay to look at tomorrows apt. but I do not see wasting that kind of money and chancing that it might not be feasible.

    I would never pay to just find out the sex 4 weeks earlier. What difference does it make if you find out at 16 weeks or at 20? It's a waste of $100, imo.

    We did plan to pay for an ultrasound but ended up getting it for free because of our friend who worked there (we didn't ask by the way, she insisted).  I will say a couple of things.  It was a really neat experience and it is a great thing to

    Mom to Cam and Al, now expecting baby number 3, August 2016. Praying for lots of sticky baby dust!

    We did! At 15 weeks. We did it at baby's first images. It's 40 just for gender reveal. I know they have locations everywhere so u cld check if there is one close to you. They had Sunday appoinemts which was great and it was awesome watching it on a big sc

    The 20 week is not for gender reveal, so don't complain about why you have to wait that long. A lot of the people who knows is because they had to get genetic testing or did the MT21 test. That is not always a good thing to have to have done.
