Mema vs. Grandma

My MIL wants the baby to call her and my FIL Mema and Papa. My DH says that the baby will call them grandma and grandpa. Now it's becoming an issue with my SIL is saying that the grandparents get to choose what baby will call them and my DH saying that the parents should get to decide. I can see this getting blown up and there being some sort of all out argument because my SIL and MIL have to get their way or they throw a HUGE stink.

What do you guys think? Should the grandparents get to chose what the baby calls them or should the parents get to chose what the baby calls the grandparents?

I would say the grandparents choose, but the kids will call them what they want. I mean my grandma somehow got the name gramma bob because I guess I couldn't say her name haha. So I'd just give it to them, and teach your kids in secret what to call them.
