If you had a catnapper as an infant - when did their naps start to get longer/more consolidated.
DS2 (will be 8 months in a couple of days) still seems to not have any solid nap patten/times.
We generally aim for 2 naps a day - very rarely he takes 2 longer ones (1.5 hours each). Actually - that seems to happen when my mom watches him - never on the days I'm home with him. Sigh...
Some days I feel like I get one long one and one short one (30-45 mins). Most of the time it's two 45 minute naps. Boo!
Because he's such a crappy napper he goes to bed really early - generally 6 or 630pm and STTN (thank god!) until 545 or 6am.
For the most part - I would say like 75% of the time he's generally happy when he's awake and not too cranky (even if he wakes up crying/still tired) once he's fed and he's kept busy by keeping up with DS1.
Should I just try to not worry about the short naps at this point and just be thankful he is STTN and push towards 1 nap a day in a few months.
I'm just at a loss since even though DS1 cat napped as a baby - by the time he was 6 months old he was on a super solid 2 long nap a day schedule and stayed that way until 15 months!
Re: Short Baby Naps...(NTR)
At 8 mo DS was pretty consistently taking two 45-min naps most of the time. By 1 year he dropped to one nap, though it did for the most part increase in length. And didn't decrease over time -- sometimes he can even take a 2 hr nap, esp at home. But so

B was a catnapper forever. Around a yearish it got a bit better. We switched to 1 nap a day at 14 months. I think it was a little early for him, but that was the schedule in the next room up at daycare. After one weekend of using his
