Classes

I am considering taking Bradley classes this pregnancy to help me prepare for a med free birth. The problem is DS. The classes are on Saturdays and it would be difficult to find someone to watch him. My family lives two hours away and I could probably get my mom to do it but 12 weeks is asking a lot. Is it worth it? Did anyone here have positive experiences with it and think it is a must do?

  • I think it's a great program, but it's definitely targeted toward first time parents or people with very, very generous free childcare. It's a lot of hours.

  • H and I loved the classes.  They were very informative and taught H how to be a great coach.  He was awesome during my L&D.  I think classes are a must but I am the type of person that loves classes and believes you can never be too edu
  • I know some women who took Bradley and loved it.  So I think it is a good class, but you are right very time consuming.

    Have you looked into Hypnobirthing?  It's 4-5 classes instead of 12.  Or there's Hypnobabies, it's a home-study

  • With my first, I couldn't afford the $300 price tag for the bradley classes so I used that money to hire a doula-in-training and I just checked out the bradley library books (and a whole stack of others!) I took private natural childbirth classes taught
