overslept!

I never set my alarm to wake up to nurse! Surprisingly she didn't wake up on her own either. I feel bad though because she went about 6 hrs w/o eating! :( We are nursing on demand but that's too long at 2 1/2 weeks ...ugh.

Re: overslept!

  • If she's back at birth weight you don't have to wake to feed. Enjoy the sleep and don't feel guilty for a second!

  • She'll probably make up for it during the day. DD has pretty much completely cut out her MOTN feeding; she typically goes 7 hours at night now, from 10 to 5. But she still gets her normal 8 feedings because she eats more often in the evening before bed. I

  • My DD is 2.5 weeks too and slept last night for about that long.  I nurse on demand, so I'm not worried about it.  If she was hungry she would have woken up.

If I were you I would stop with the alarm and just enjoy the sleep! <br

  • Enjoy it! I would love if our babies went this long! We have got almost 4 hours out of them and that's the longest so far. They're 5 weeks and I'm hoping we start getting more hours of sleep soon

  • Definitely enjoy it! My DD started sleeping in six or seven hour stretches between weeks three and five and it really let me catch up on much needed sleep. When she hit the six week growth spurt and fussy stage she went back to only sleeping three to four
  • My son is 3 wks today and we are feeding on demand too... but I am keeping a loose schedule too because E sleeps so much. But E will sleep soundly from about 10pm until sometime between 4 and 6am.
