Target Return Policy

We got a target gift card that we bought a pack n play with. It was on sale for $59.

Then we got a nicer pack n play as a gift in the mail, purchased at Target.com.

I can't find the receipt for the pack n play that we purchased w/ gift card and we already threw out the box. Target's return policy says " Items that are opened or damaged or do not have a packing slip or receipt may be denied a refund or exchange. "

Do you think they'd accept a return with no receipt, no box? I'd want to keep the one we got as a gift, but it may be easier to return the gifted pack n play instead.

It never hurts to try. Last week they let me return a baby photo/keepsake book that was torn without a receipt.

You could try. If you charged it they may be able to look it up by your credit card.

In my experience, they're pretty inflexible on the out of box issue. I think you'd have to return the gifted one. Or keep both if you need one for use at someone else's home (e.g., grandparents).

If you had the box you could return for sure, but once you open and toss the box I don't think anywhere will take it back.

Sorry to bust in on post but does anyone know the policy of babies r us? I got a nursing cover that I opened (on my registry) then got one I liked better from target?

I work for Target corporate -- it is worth a try. Bring the cc with that you used to purchase the item, because sometimes they can scan and look it up that way. Good luck!

I used to work in Guest Service doing returns. I agree with JSS, it's definitely worth a shot. Every store is a little different, but both stores I worked at would be able to scan the CC, or gift card for returns. If the item was stil

I returned a defective item that was purchased online w/out a shipping label. It has been opened (but like I said was defective). They just scanned my drivers license and game me cash. It was nbd.

If the pack n play was on your registry they should return it. Your registry works as a receipt... worry about not having the box because they need the upc for it. I would try... its worth a shot.

Thanks ladies! I ended up finding the receipt in the glove box of my car. Who knows why I thought to put it there in the first place......
