So I just found out I'm pregnant again. This one was not planned.... That being said. Oliver will be around 18 months when this one is born. Has anyone here had 2 c/s in less then 2 years? I remember with my first one I was told to wait at least a year and a half before trying so my body would heal right... I don't see the doctor til Friday. I'm sure they will answer all my questions, but I'm curious now. This will also be my 3 c/s... So that makes me a little nervous.
Re: 2 C-Sections in less then 2 years...
I did. I had my first 3 c-sections in 3 years. My 4th was almost 4 years after the 3rd.
I didn't have any issues at all.

I had a small abruption w/ c/section #2 but it was NOT related to the closeness in surgeries. No issues otherwise and my OB was not concerned at all. If you wanted to try for a VBAC they will likely not allow that. It's usually recommended you wait 18-24 months in between pgs for that.

I had 2 back to back...my LO are 14 months apart. Mine were both planned. I had absolutely no problems with either of my c-sections. My first was an emergency c-section at 31 weeks pregnant but the 2nd one was at 37 weeks. Both mine went very very well!
My recovery was actually a lot better with the second. I was moving and up maybe more than I should have been soon after and by the time I was home I felt almost fully recovered besides the pain at incision.
I asked my Ob at my 6 week PP checkup when I could get pregnant again and he said whenever I felt ready. He had no qualms when I came in at 5 months PP for my 8 week checkup. I had an uneventful second pregnancy. My recovery was difficult with #2 but it was nothing due to the pregnancies spaced close--it started with a botched spinal and averse reactions to medications didn't help matters any.
My ob said that most of the healing is done in the first 6 weeks PP of the uterus. There was a heightened risk of rupture but since it happens in less than 1% of the population he (nor I) felt that was compelling enough to make me wait. He did advise me to continue eating healthy/taking vitamins to help avoid vitamin deficiencies and I had no issues with that.
