Baby Bargains Book

One of my co-workers told me to buy the "Baby Bargains" book.  It tells you what you should spend your money on, what you should skip, and it also gives grades to different brands.  I just ordered mine on Amazon for $9.  It has not come in yet but I was able to read the first chapter in the preview mode.  It was very informative and great information! My co-worker said it made registering much less stressful!

    I know a lot of people really like that book. It's a great resource. I wouldn't treat it as the end all be all, though. I looked through it recently and disagreed with some of the advice, reviews, etc. Ex. I love my teething bibs for LO, which save his ou

    Thank you for the advice! I'm hoping that between the book and just asking other moms for advice, the registry will not be as overwhelming.

    It's a good place to start. However it doesn't have info on a lot of newer companies.  I would check out www.lucieslist.com & https://

    Take the advice of experts over some guy who wrote a book without having any small kids or personally using the items. I think Baby Bargains is about as bogus as it gets.

    Except the fact that it was written by a couple starting in 1993 and the basis of which was inspired by their first son. The second edition was inspired by their second, so I'm pretty sure they have some experience in raising children.
