Pump and Dump?

So all next week I will be away on a work trip.  It's a large offsite meeting, so all the meals have been planned for us, and I know that one night we'll be going to a fancy Asian restaurant.  I have been avoiding dairy and soy because of my breastfed daughter's allergies, but I know I'm going to have a hard time avoiding soy during this meal.  Unless I just eat very little, but as this is a work dinner I'd really like to fully participate.  If I did eat some soy, would it be possible to pump and dump? Is it like alcohol, where it leaves your system after a few hours? If I had to pump and dump one session, I could do that, but if it meant dumping several days worth of milk, it wouldn't be worth it.

  • Pumping and Dumping doesn't work in this case because soy takes up to a week to clear your  system (dairy is closer to 2 weeks).  My DD2 reacts to even the slightest amounts of her trigger foods, so the rotation method wouldn't work for her, but

  • I was told that it takes allergens like dairy 24 hours to leave your system, but 2-3 weeks for it to clear LO's system and heal.

  • sounds like its not worth it then.  thanks for the info!
