babywearing ? re. color and LO's sex

So this is a somewhat silly question, but just curious. Do you consider you carriers to be your accessories and choose colors you like?....or do you choose colors for your baby's sex?

I choose whatever color I want, but DH asked me why I was getting girl colors when we have a boy. Now, I'm not going to go out and purposefully dress our boy as a girl, but at the same time, if he wanted to wear a color that was considered feminie it would not bother me, so maybe that's why I don't mind what my carrier looks like. Anyways, just made me curious what others do.

  • I don't really think it matters but I guess if I saw someone with a pink carrier I would assume it was a girl in there. Blue I would tend to think boy but not for sure. Red, Black, Green, etc. would be for either. I've noticed the same thing for nurs

  • In my opinion everyone can suck it. if I am spending the big money on a carrier then it will be in the pattern and colors of my choice. People will confuse your child between male and female even if you dressed them in extremes.

  • When I had my son I tried to keep all big ticket items neutral in color.  But now with my daughter I use my son's stuff, and lots of it ended up being blue, which is also one of my fave colors! I also have been using my son's old sleepers for my daug
  • I tend to gravitate toward green things, so it's pretty neutral either way. As of now, I pick things out that I like, regardless of color.

  • I picked black because my husband or dad will use it if it's black. I wanted the purpleish one but knew no one but me would wear it. Nothing do to with the gender of my children!

  • I only have a baby Bjorn and it's in black.  I'm getting ready to purchase an ergo and will choose a grey because I want it to match any of my clothes or my husband if he will use it.  I guess I didn't think about it being gender specific or any

  • I pick out gender neutral items so I can reuse them when we have other kids. I have a green Moby, for example.

  • We got a red Ergo and a turquoise ring sling. I consider both colors to be neutral...we chose the colors based on what was available and what color both DH and I would (mostly DH) be comfortable in while wearing DH...and because I thought they were pretty
