Sleep problems

I am having the worst time sleeping lately. Up at least 3 to 4 time a night. It doesn't help that my husband gets up at 4am most mornings. I am concerned that if I sleep in any other position than my left side It will be bad for baby. At 12 weeks I am assuming it is ok to sleep on either side or my back. Any thoughts? I am also dealing with major nausea. Hope this subsides soon...

Re: Sleep problems

  • Be comfortable! Your uterus us still small enough that its safe to sleep on your back, stomach, and sides right now. I mostly sleep on my stomach and either side, I'm trying to stop sleeping on my back but I always end up that way.

  • I'm having the same problems sleeping, I can't get comfortable and I toss and turn all night. I'm 16 weeks and I sleep on either side for like 3 minutes and I'm turning. Also sometimes I'm partially laying on my stomach while I'm on my side and that's act
  • I havent slept a full night in over 2 months... I am waking up at least 3- 4 times per night. As a PP said, I also see it as training for when the LO is here. I am just now learning to function off less sleep!  Guess this is how its going to be for a

  • I'm in the same boat. My hips are literally aching from sleeping on my sides and tossing all night. I can't comfortably sleep on my back anymore. I feel like my whole belly is pulsating when I lay flat and that makes me uncomfortable. I can sort of sle

  • I do have a body pillow but my husband thinks its too big for the bed. wait till my belly is taking up all the room!
My hips are killing me too. But the nausea is the worst. I haven't thrown up but my body is telling me that something is going on.
  • I'm up soooo much every night!  I may go to sleep on my side (either one) but everytime I wake up, I am on my back.  Last night though, I could not lay on my right side...I had this bad pulling feeling in my lower stomach so I switched sides and
