Convertible car seat question

LO is getting way too big for the infant carrier car seat not to mention, I physically can not lug her around in it anymore due to the progression of my RA  We bought the convertible carseat last weekend but haven't yet put her in it.  Here is my question. What do I do with LO when grocery shopping, or out to dinnner? She is not anywhere near close to sitting on her own so sitting in the shopping cart  or a resturant high chair is out of the question.  I can't push the stroller and a shopping cart at the same time.  What do I do with her?  She hates the carrier and I want to move her into the new seat soon.

    Find a carrier she will tolerate. The only option is to wear her or prop her in the seat.

    I cannot wear her due to the rhumatoid arthritis in my back, so we will try to make the travel system carseat work for a bit longer but as soon as the cold weather is out of her, she is in the convertible one.

    The weight limit is pretty high on the infant seats, but I agree they are a PITA.
